Day 2 : Island of Vis – 20 miles/31 kms

An early morning breakfast cruise delivers us to the island of Vis, the outermost of the Dalmatian islands. Our first ride explores this tranquil and beautiful place leading us on a circular route from the town of Vis across the island to picturesque town of Komiža and back .

The views of the island's beautiful west coast as we enjoy an exhilarating descent to Komiža are stunning. After exploring the village and enjoying a refreshment at one of the relaxed quayside bars we mount up and leave the village, this time following a quiet coastal road with jaw-dropping sea views off to the right. The road then winds inland through a peaceful fertile valley covered in vineyards before descending back down to Vis.

The San Snova remains moored in the pretty little port of Vis for the night so there is plenty of time for swimming and exploring the little town.

Day 3 : Island of Korčula
18.5 miles/30 kms

In the morning we enjoy a breakfast cruise to the port of Vela Luka on the island of Korčula. Along the way we will weigh anchor in a secluded bay for a refreshing swim from the boat. Today's scenic ride leads us long the south coast, enjoying splendid views of other smaller islands just off-shore, and through aromatic pine forests to the small village of Blato. After stopping for a stroll around we return to Vela Luka via a pretty inland route The San Snova remains moored in Vela Luka for the night.

Day 4 : Island of Hvar
14 and 12 miles

Today starts with a relaxing cruise to the bustling and picturesque port of Hvar Town on the island of Hvar. Take the time to explore this beautiful little place on foot before mounting up for today's ride. A steady climb leads us out of the town and up onto a ridge running the length of the island. The views get progressively more spectacular and aromatic lavender fields line the route attracting flights of brightly coloured butterflies. There is a small bar/restaurant at the summit to collect ourselves before enjoying an exhilarating descent to the picturesque artist's village of Stari Grad nestled in its own natural harbour. The San Snova is waiting for us and will remain moored here for the night - so if you want to skip the afternoon ride and relax that is not a problem. The second of today's rides is much easier and leads us through gorgeous countryside to the tiny port of Jelsa. We traditionally stop in the little square as there is a rather good ice cream parlour which is very hard to resist before heading back to the boat along a serene coastal path.

Day 5 : Island of Brač
18 miles/29 kms

This morning the San Snova crosses the narrow strait separating Hvar from its neighbour, Brač, the largest of the Dalmatian Islands. We moor in Milna, a pretty harbour town and disembark with our bikes. On today’s ride to Postira on the northern coast we’ll enjoy some marvellous panoramic views across the sea to the mainland, we'll also pass the quarries where the island's famous white marble comes from. This highly prized marble has been used to build some very famous buildings, including 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C and the Reichstag in Berlin.

The San Snova is waiting for us in the pleasant little port of Postira – a lovely place to spend the night.

Day 6 : City of Split (rafting option in Omiš)
10 miles/17 kms

A morning cruise takes us across the strait to the city of Split on the mainland. We have a choice today of either biking around the Marjan forest and peninsula adjacent to the city, (stopping at a lovely beach for a dip along the way), or opting for a 4 hour rafting excursion on the Cetina river (not included and payable locally). If you opt for the rafting you’ll be picked up from the boat by a bus and driven down the coast to the town of Omis, the starting point. The rafting is great fun and each raft has a well trained instructor who ensures the trip is exhilarating but safe. The river and canyon are protected and the scenery and water clarity are amazing. The bus is waiting for you at the end of the rafting experience to take you back to Split

In the afternoon there is time to explore the fascinating and bustling old port town of Split. We highly recommend a tour of the famous palace of Roman Emperor Diocletian. The adjoining maze of streets that make up Split’s old town are also inviting, never more so than after dark when all the cool little bars, clubs and restaurants come alive.

The boat remains moored in Split overnight.

Day 7 : Šolta Island – Trogir
13 miles/20 kms

This morning's breakfast cruise delivers us to the serene and beautiful island of Šolta where we disembark with the bikes for the final ride of the holiday. Ancient dry-stone walls line the lanes that lead us around Šolta to small ports and tiny hamlets. The scent of wild roesemary fills the air as we pass olive groves and fig trees on this most serene of islands.

Afterwards we enjoy a cruise back to the boat’s home port of Trogir. Lose yourself in the maze-like alleys of the ancient port and enjoy an ice cream or cold drink at one of the many open air cafes. The captain’s farewell dinner is always an enjoyable affair, moored up on the bustling quayside adjacent to the lovely old town.
