On arrival in Dubrovnik make your way Gruž, Dubrovnik’s town port where the Romantica is moored. Check-in is between 2 and 2.30pm and at 4.30pm you are invited to join a guided walking tour of the old town. The Romantica remains moored in Gruž for the night and we highly recommend a post- dinner stroll through the atmospheric old town before retiring to your comfy, air conditioned cabin for the night.

During breakfast we slip our moorings and cruise across to the island of Sipan, the largest of the Elaphiti Islands. A short ride around the island is perfect for getting used to the bikes and riding as a group. We then re-board the boat for a short hop across to Mljet Island. This beautiful, verdant isle is thought by many to have been the mystical island on which the Nymph Calypso kept Odysseus captive for 7 years in Homer’s “Odyssey”. Our first ride leads us from the peaceful little harbour of Pomena on a circular route around the island. Along the way we will pass through the heavily forested National Park Of Mljet with its stunning coastline. The Romantica remains moored in the charming port of Pomena overnight.

Today we visit two islands, the first is Lastovo which we will reach after a short breakfast cruise from Pomena. Lastovo sits further out to sea than most of the other Dalmatian islands and has an isolated serene charm all of its own. Our guides lead us on a very enjoyable and scenic ride to the charming old town of Lastovo with its amphitheater setting and ornate chimneys.

Back on board the Romantica we enjoy a fortifying lunch before casting off for a relaxing afternoon cruise across to the island of Korčula. Time allowing, the captain may well make a stop in a secluded bay for a swim from the boat. The fortified town of Korčula, juts out into the Adriatic as if it is trying to break free from the rest of the island and sail away. Its connection to the sea is further confirmed when one observes that the street layout resembles the skeleton of a fish. We enjoy a fascinating guided tour of the old town and because the Romantica remains moored here for the night an evening stroll around the winding, bustling streets is also recommended.

Today we are in for a real treat as we cycle from one end of Korčula to the other. The island is widely thought to be the jewel in Dalmatia’s crown and today’s ride will qualify you for an opinion. There are some climbs involved but these are invariably rewarded with stunning views across the blue Adriatic to other nearby islands and the mainland. About midway through the ride you will be rewarded with some particularly jaw-dropping views out to sea and nearby you’ll also be able to stop for a refreshing swim if the mood takes you. Our destination is the pleasant port of Vela Luka, located in its own natural harbour. It’s always nice to climb aboard the Romantica after a long ride and enjoy the simple bliss of a cold drink and some air conditioning! The Romantica remains moored in Vela Luka overnight.

Another breakfast cruise delivers us to the island of Hvar and we moor in the island’s beautiful capital, Hvar Town. The Renaissance Square is magnificent and the view from the Spanish fortress above the town is stunning but be warned, to see the latter you must be prepared to invest in quite a climb! Today’s scenic cycle route leads us up out of Hvar Town and into some wild, pristine countryside, covered in wild lavender and rosemary. The views are incredible and butterflies often fill the air, attracted by the fragrant flora. After an exhilarating descent we arrive in the pretty artists port of Stari Grad where the Romantica is waiting for us and remains moored for the night.

The day starts with a pleasant and easy ride to the pretty port of Jelsa. Not many visitors to this little town can resist the lovely ice cream cafe in the pretty square but you can of course try! We then return via a winding coastal lane and the pretty fishing village of Vrboska to Stari Grad. In the afternoon the Romantica then cruises across to the island of Brač, mooring for the night in the quaint little port of Milna.

On today’s ride across the island to the charming port of Postira we’ll enjoy panoramic seascape views and pass quarries where the island's white marble comes from. This highly prized marble has been used to build some very famous buildings, including 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C and the Reichstag in Berlin.

A final cruise on the Romantica delivers us to the port of Split. Once at our mooring we are invited to join a qualified guide on a fascinating walking tour around the beautiful old town, including Roman Emperor Diocletian’s incredible palace. A farewell meal on board is always an event and if you still have the energy we recommend a late night stroll through the atmospheric old town where you will find some lovely bars and cafes.

After breakfast it is time to disembark and head for home or your next adventure.
