An abridged version of our Pisa to Florence Cycling Holiday, this 4 night version unveils some of Tuscany’s most celebrated Renaissance delights. Starting from Pisa, you’ll visit the Roman town of Lucca, the old spa town of Montecatini and finish in the cradle of the Renaissance, Florence.
This short cycling break offers great leisure cycling through fantastic scenery visiting some truly stunning Renaissance towns and cities along the way.
Besides being home to the world’s most famous lopsided building, Pisa is a wonderful old town with a maze of winding, narrow streets to explore before you begin your cycling adventure.
Montecatini Terme
An enjoyable ride along the Serchio river delivers you to the old Roman town of Lucca with its charming Piazza’s and plethora of churches (100 in all apparently!). En-route to the charming spa town of Montecatini you will visit the charming town of Collodi where we highly recommend a visit to Villa Garzoni with its magnificent gardens.
On the final ride you can choose whether to take on the full 65 kms and cycle all the way to Florence or alternatively take the train to the beautiful old town of Pistoia and start cycling there, reducing the day’s ride to 50 kms.
Your last evening is spend in Florence , the cradle of the Renaissance, where you can immerse yourself in the glorious architecture and eclectic culture of this vibrant, bustling city.
